About Patrick

Patrick is a proud member of the Actor's Equity Association (AEA), Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc. and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. In 2011, Patrick received his B.A. in Drama from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. He is an alum of the British American Drama Academy, the Horizon Theatre Company Intern Program, the Florida Studio Theatre Acting Apprentice Program and Leadership Sarasota.

Currently, Patrick is the Adult Education Associate at American Stage in St. Petersburg, FL. Within his role, Patrick responsible for creating enriching experiences for American Stage audiences and artists. Patrick also coordinates and leads many of the theatre's improv workshops and programming for local businesses and organizations called, Improv4Work.

From 2014-2017, Patrick served as the Education & Outreach Associate at Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota, FL. At FST, Patrick oversaw and coordinated the award winning WRITE A PLAY Program, which reaches 50,000 students a year, through performances and workshops.

As an actor, Patrick has performed on stage and screen, across the Southeast performing with Positive Scribe Productions, Fly By Theatre, LIFT Dance Company, Ansley Park Playhouse, Florida Studio Theatre, Urbanite Theatre and American Stage. He was an original cast member of the hit LGBT web series, Between Women. Additionally, Patrick is also known as an award winning burlesque entertainer by the name "Johnny Sparks". Under the alias, he has traveled the country performing, has headlined the Wisconsin Burlesque Festival and is a former Mr. Flamingo Resort as well as a former Florida Burlypicks Champion. Patrick has been nominated in the acting categories for Best of the Bay, Theatre Tampa Bay and Broadway World (St. Petersburg).

As a playwright, Patrick has written several short plays. Most recently, Patrick co-wrote the original holiday production Deck the Halls with Caroline Kaiser. Patrick's full length play, REDplus was produced as a part of the 2013 DC Black Theater Festival. 


As a teaching artist, Patrick has taught a variety of classes and workshops in acting, improv, spoken word and emotional intelligence. Patrick has partnered with Hercules Coaching, GBMH to provide diversity and inclusion training for a number of corporate clients.
